The sixth edition of La Rioja Drumming Festival begins to dream in the night of this Friday in the Museum Würth of the concert of Raga Bop Trio, the band of jazz merger of Steve Smith, named in 2003 by prestigious Modern Drummer Entrance hall of Fame as one of the best thirties bateristas of all the times.
Since it will celebrate last year with that of Michel Camilo y Tomatito, its first chapter lives through La Rioja Drumming Festival with a big concert, in order to be consolidated not only like one of three best festivals of percussion of the world but also like the festival of the musician, the musicians and its fans. This way, which receives the Museum Würth is another luxurious concert, the first one of the world tour of Raga Bop Trio (www.ragaboptrio.com), the only one in Spain before starting its American long journey.
And the public like that has understood it, exhausting the reservations in the Museum Würth for this free appointment, like all those of La Rioja Drumming Festival thanks to the patronage of the Government of La Rioja, Institute Riojano of the Youth, Cajalón, Termonorte, Museum Würth and diverse marks of instruments of music. The Festival will continue on Saturday morning with the main classes in the Museum, which have already exhausted also its reservations, and in the night with the spectacle of the battery and the percussion in the Palace of the Sports.
From 22.00 hours, the public will enjoy the sound amalgam with a base jazz of Raga Bop Trio. The influences of three talents of the music, the baterista Steve Smith, the Hindu guitarist Prasanna and the saxophonist and teclista George Brooks, join always covering diverse ways with a base jazz. Three musicians are testing from this Wednesday in the Museum Würth, preparing the tour, in addition to knowing and covering the treasures of our ground riojana. Steve Smith, one of the big ones. Its work with more than hundred artists along its career, from stars pop like Mariah Carey, Zuchero or Andrea Bocelli to big of the rock as Journey or Bryan Adams and, of course, with its Vital Information, they endorse him like one of the big bateristas of the moment thanks to its versatility and, especially, to its musical non-conformism, always penetrating into all the musical ways thanks to its enormous skill and musicality.
In these moments, the todoterreno Steve Smith is one of the voices of the modern jazz on board of the percussion. And as excited of the instrument, it keeps on expanding its knowledge and its way on him and, also, sharing it with the whole community of students and professionals, as with its didactic DVD on skill of battery and the different musical styles and its evolution.

“We are going to enjoy one of the most finished editions”. With this invitation, the director of La Rioja Drumming Festival, Alberto Cuevas, has urged all the public keen of the music and the culture to take part in this sixth edition, which will be provided on the 3rd and 4th of September in Logronio with Steve Smith, Dave McClain, Álex Acuña,
Dom Famularo, Clauss Hessler, Rodney Howard, David Barcos, Bartek Pawlus and the group riojano Missing Soul.
The team of La Rioja Drumming Festival has presented in press conference the cartel of this edition accompanied by the sponsors who make its celebration possible, and with free entry, like the Government of La Rioja represented by the adviser of Presidency Emilio del Río, the Institute Riojano of the Youth with Javier Merino, Cajalón with José Ángel Pérez, Museum Würth with Silvia Lindner y Termobaster.
“It is an advisable cultural activity for all the public who promotes La Rioja since they are made fond of the whole country and it has aftereffect in the whole world”, the adviser Emilio del Río has valued. “For Cajalón it is necessary to keep on taking part and sponsoring positive and successful cultural activities for the society riojana”,

On the part of the organizing team of La Rioja Drumming Festival, Cuevas has been grateful for the support of the sponsors and guest to the public to be enjoyed of an edition that is provided with milestones like enjoying the exclusive concert in Spain of Steve Smith, one of thirty best batteries of all the times, its Raga Bot Trio in the party of Friday, the 3rd of September in the Museum Würth, in the opening of this edition at 22.00 hs.
The same Museum Würth will receive in the morning of Saturday, the 4th of September, from 10.00 hs, the main classes with Hessler, Smith, McClain, It mints and Famularo. Given the limited capacity, the interested parties in enjoying so much the concert of Raga Bot Trio as
